I enjoyed my stay at Sofitel Marrakech Palais Imperial, as the location was beautiful, and the dining experience was impressive. However, the service left much to be desired and often felt rude. The rooms, while spacious, showed signs of age. Overall, it had its highs and lows during my visit.

Rooms

The Junior Suite was large and comfortable, though somewhat dated. The balcony offered stunning views of the pool and Atlas Mountains.
Service
6.0
The staff were often polite and helpful, but there were moments of rudeness that felt out of place for a five-star hotel. At times, it seemed like customer service wasn't a priority.
Location

I loved the hotel's location, being just a short taxi ride from the Medina. It was great to be close to major attractions.
Dining

Breakfast was really good, offering a vast selection of fresh fruits, pastries, and hot dishes. However, I found the service a bit slow at times when requesting coffee.
Facilities

The hotel had impressive facilities, including beautiful pools and a serene spa. However, the spa treatments were on the expensive side.

I had a mix of experiences during my stay. The check-in process was really slow, and the staff seemed a bit rude initially, which wasn't the best start. On the bright side, my room was comfortable, and the breakfast was fantastic. However, the service at the bar was very slow. Overall, I think the hotel has potential but needs better management.

Rooms

My room had a lovely view of the Koutoubia and Atlas mountains and was quite comfortable. It was a nice space to relax in, despite being far from reception.
Service
5.0
The service was a real mixed bag. While the staff was often preoccupied or seemed poorly trained, there were a few standout individuals like Almai Ali who provided excellent service.
Location
6.0
The hotel is advertised as 'central,' but I found it wasn't really within walking distance to much, making it more of a retreat than a base for exploring Marrakech.
Dining
7.0
Breakfast was definitely the highlight for me, with a large variety of dishes. However, I found the service at the bar slow and hit or miss. It seemed like they struggled to keep up with requests at times.
Facilities
7.0
The hotel does offer nice facilities like an amazing pool and nice spa services, though the heated pool incurs an extra charge. Overall, the amenities were decent but could use better management.

I had a lovely stay at Sofitel Marrakech Palais Imperial with several highlights, particularly the really good breakfast and warm staff. however, the noise levels from outside my room were a significant drawback. While the spa facilities were enjoyable, I found some aspects of the service lacking, which detracted from an otherwise relaxing experience.

Rooms
6.0
My original room was quite noisy, located above a taxi rank, which made it hard to sleep. but after a complaint, I was moved to a quieter room where I could truly enjoy my stay.
Service
7.0
The staff were generally friendly, particularly the door staff. yet I noticed some inconsistency in service efficiency that could be improved.
Location
8.0
The hotel's location was quite convenient, within a reasonable walking distance to several attractions. which made exploring Marrakech easy and enjoyable.
Dining

Breakfast was one of the best I've experienced, with a massive spread and delicious options. although I found the dinner food at the restaurant to be a bit pricey for what it offered.
Facilities
7.0
While the spa and pool area provided a serene retreat, I found the heated pool to come at an additional cost. and the gym was a nice touch with professional coaching available.

I had a pleasant stay overall, with excellent service and beautiful common areas. The breakfast spread was impressive, and I particularly enjoyed the poolside atmosphere. However, my room left much to be desired as it was dark and in need of an upgrade, which impacted my experience.

Rooms
6.0
The room was dark and had a musky scent, lacking many outlets. I expected more for the price I paid.
Service

The staff was very attentive and friendly, especially Larbi Mohammed at reception and Soumia by the pool. Their really good service really enhanced my stay.
Location

The hotel is well-located, just a short ride from the square and souks. I felt safe walking around the area.
Dining

The breakfast offerings were varied and delicious, and the ambiance at the bar with nightly jazz was lovely. I enjoyed the tajine at L'Orangerie.

The common areas were impressive and had a great ambiance, but I did find it disappointing that the heated infinity pool came with an additional charge.
